Emotional Resilience for Kids
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I released a series of live classes focused on emotional resilience for kids. Below you will find the resource list for each class, videos and additional tips for families and educators.

Week 1: "All of my emotions are good."
In this class, we read "The Way I Feel" by Janan Cain and explore and honor even our toughest emotions through process art. Resource List

Week 2: "I am the boss of my emotions."
Join us for a reading of "Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns It's OK to Back Away" by Howard Binkow, a look at how our emotions work in the brain and another fun process art activity to bring it all together! Resource List

Week 3: "I am unique."
This week, we start by exploring our senses as we read "Rain" by Manya Stojic. We then get to know our own, unique sensory systems and do a process art activity exploring what life would be like if we were a tree! Resource List

Week 4: "I love and accept myself."
In week four, we learn how the practice of self-affirmation can build our emotional resilience! We'll read "I Like Myself" by Karen Beaumont, make self-portraits and practice positive self-talk. Grab a mirror, some art supplies and let's play! Resource List:

Week 5: "I can say how I am feeling."
This week we learn one of the most powerful ways to take charge of our big emotions - saying how we are feeling. This powerful tool can turn off the flight, fight, freeze response in the brain! Resource List:
